Widescope Entertainment proudly announces the signing of sunburn!, a rising alternative pop band bringing a warm, emotional, and atmospheric flair to modern OPM. Formed in 2025, the four-piece group composed of Kurt Mariño (co-vocalist and bass), Patrick Lacambacal (co-vocalist and lead guitar), Zyre Mendoza (co-vocalist and rhythm guitar), and Keats Lumanog (drums) evolved naturally from casual friendships, shared gigs, and a creative spark that refused to fade. 

Even their name came from an inside moment, inspired by a casual beach story that felt as warm and genuine as the music they hoped to create. “It started as a joke,” Patrick shares. “But somehow it fit us. May vibe, may personality. It just felt right.” Kurt adds, “Parang kami talaga siya. Fun, a little spontaneous, and very us.”

Their debut single “Palagi,” released under Widescope Entertainment, captures the emotional core of the group. Written by Kurt and produced by Patrick, the track is a tender ode to unwavering love, shaped by the band’s shared experiences of being in committed relationships. Crafted in Patrick’s home studio and mixed by Peavey Nicolas of Big Baby Studios, “Palagi” blends sweet, somber melodies with imagery reminiscent of a late-night drive. Listeners immediately connected with the song, as seen in its early traction on TikTok. It was also featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Philippines, marking a strong first step for the newly formed group.

As sunburn! continues promoting Palagi and developing new material, the band hopes to create music that feels like an experience; romantic, nostalgic, and honest. With Widescope Entertainment now supporting their journey, they are ready to bring their vision to a wider audience and carve out their own space in the OPM landscape.
