Forget the noise. Forget the crowd. Forget the stares.
Ipikit niyo lang ang inyong mga mata as the world fades out and “Wag Kang Bibitaw” by sunburn! pulls you into a slow dance in the middle of a crowded room.
Dropping March 6 under Widescope Entertainment, this alternative-pop anthem is like finding sanctuary in the middle of the chaos. It’s a track that breathes in the tension of glaring eyes, quietly moving and exhaling an unshakable confidence. It’s moody, defiant, and a gentle reminder na sa gitna ng lahat, ang tanging mahalaga ay ang taong mahal mo.
Written by Patrick Lacambacal and Kurt Marino, “Wag Kang Bibitaw” was inspired by a real moment of love shared fearlessly in a crowded museum. It captures an earnest expression of love and an unfiltered brand of courage—’yung tipong kahit maraming mapanghusga na nakatingin sa inyo, you just close your eyes, hold their hand and choose to stay in that moment.
While their previous release, “Palagi,” laid the foundation, this track marks a massive evolution for the band. This is the first time sunburn! has really fully collaborated on a track with what they’ve dubbed an “idea parade,” where every member’s influence was carefully woven into the arrangement.
Recorded at Kwarto Studio by Daniel Monong, mixed and mastered by Oz Kabuhat at Adorable Human Studios, the track stands as their tightest and most intimate work to date.
It’s that same signature “sunburn!” sound, but more intentional, focused, and dripping with atmosphere.
“Wag Kang Bibitaw” isn’t just a love song; it’s for the rebels who choose each other over the noise. It’s a song for the moments when the lights are low, the pressure’s high, and the only thing keeping you grounded is the person you’re holding onto.
